A unique hotel with active social work
Inclusiveness and accessibility in Wesenufer
Our inclusive hotel is the first and still the only hotel in Austria to offer active social work combined with a high level of service.
Our social project offers meaningful, health-promoting and inclusive employment opportunities to people with mental disabilities. Our goal is to improve and stabilise the health of participants by enabling them to enjoy an active life and protecting them against seclusion, isolation and exclusion. The underlying concept of this project is inclusion: that every person should be accepted as an individual, should have the opportunity to participate fully in society and should have a meaningful part to play.
Our active social work programme at the hotel makes us particularly well-prepared to address the particular needs and requirements of people with disabilities.
Facilities for people with disabilities
All public areas in the hotel are fully accessible. The hotel contains three elevators, three fully accessible rooms and reserved parking spaces near the entrance.
Local medical and psycho-social services are supported by our infrastructure!
Special facilities, tailored offers for guests; our social work programme raises awareness and ensures that local doctors and other service providers in the area are appropriately trained.
Vegetarian meals and special dietary requirements
Vegetarian meals and, on request, Vegan options are part of our daily standard. We are prepared to cater to a range of special dietary requirements.
Embrace Hotels – succeeding together
Since 2020, we have been the first hotel in Austria to become a member of Embrace Hotels.
Embrace Hotels is a hotel association currently comprising more than 50 inclusive hotels across Europe, primarily in Germany.
Embrace was originally based on the idea that the world should not be divided into winners and losers. This remains the key concept underpinning the Embrace Hotels association, which draws strength from diversity. Diversity of employees, both with and without disabilities, and diversity of hotels, from city hotels to conference hotels with wellness facilities. This diversity ensures that our member hotels can reach their full potential.
“Travel For All” certification
“Travel For All” was founded with the aim of making it easier for people with disabilities to select a suitable hotel, and the initiative has now grown to include more than 1,700 companies. The Embrace Hotels association assesses members for “Travel For All” certification. Potential guests with disabilities can immediately see that their needs will be safely and appropriately met at a certified hotel.
Our hotel will soon be undergoing this certification process.
